For inquiry we were making an oven only out of a box tin foil and black paper we first had a big box then we had a cutter to cut it out we first  cut the card board and cut it out  into a squire and put tin foil on the top of the card board and clue it on then we got piece of black paper and put in on the bottom but we didn’t clue it on we taped it on then we got plastic and put it under the foil.

After that Urmi put chocolate in the box and put it in the sun and then a week after we did that the chocolate melted on the cookie and we got to eat it but I didn’t have one because I didn’t want one.

Have you made a solar oven before?

  1. Hi Alira! Building a solar oven out of a box is a fun science experiment. You explained the steps well, which is great in case someone else would like to make one as well. Did you manage to take a picture of your oven? I liked how you included the diagram to show how it works. I wonder if you could cook s’mores in a solar oven.

  2. Kia ora! Painting calendar art with Ida sounds fun. The colours sound pretty together with green, red, gold, blue, and purple. Did you manage to take a photo of your star design to share? I would love to see how your picture turned out.
